Sharing Spaces

In summer 2024, Croydon Community Energy ran the New Addington Sharing Space - a weekly community hub at Fieldway Community Centre held every Friday afternoon from June to August. Over ten weeks, local residents came together to share food, swap clothes, take part in games and craft sessions, and join workshops on a variety of sustainability and community topics. The project created a welcoming space for people to connect, exchange skills and ideas, and explore practical, low-cost ways to take climate action. Its aim was to build stronger community relationships and local resilience while having fun together.

Following the success of the Sharing Spaces project, we now have two offshoot projects in 2025: Croydon Climate Craft Club and Community Gardens.
