About the event
Croydon Climate Craft Club is a free, community-driven space that combats loneliness by bringing people together through sustainable crafting and climate action. Our mission is to create a welcoming environment where attendees can socialise, share skills, and learn from one another - all while making eco-friendly crafts.
We plan to hold monthly sessions in different areas across Croydon, and our first club is planned for Wednesday, 12 November from 7pm at Socco Cheta, 44b Portland Road, SE25 4PQ.
Each gathering will feature a facilitator-led activity - potentially mending clothes, upcycling, making sustainable decorations or more - while also welcoming attendees to bring their own crafts. However, we want activities to evolve naturally, co-created by the group as we go.
This project grew out of last year’s New Addington Sharing Space and is funded by Camden Think & Do and Ashden.
Croydon’s community is strong, but there’s always room to strengthen…
